My name is Tim LaFever. If you have any questions or feedback about anything on my Web Site, please feel free to contact me on Facebook.
First, let me take a minute and say THANKS to my Wife and Kids for tolerating my time spent on this project.
I first started writing the material on these Web Site pages in early Fall 2007. As you can imagine, I have invested a good deal of time over the last 3 years on these writings along with always working an average of 55+ hours per week. I have always wrote what I have felt called to write about by The Holy Spirit. I doubt any of this would have been possible with out the support and assistance of my Wife, my Daughter and my Son. I pray that I have never caused any of my family to feel neglected as I have spent so much time on these writings the last few years. I pray that I have provided my children with a good example of healthy physical and spiritual fitness.
Second, let me say THANKS to you for visiting my Website. I hope and pray that you find it helpful, informative and interesting.
I would also like to say thanks to the Porter family. It is because of them that we found and connected to our Church. I am very confident that our Church especially the Youth Ministries have been a significant blessing to our family.
Whether you are interested in a physically healthy lifestyle or not, I encourage you to get you and your family, especially your kids plugged in to a good Church with strong Youth Ministries, for the sake of Spiritual fitness. The Bible tells us in 1TIMOTHY 4 that physical exercise has some value, but Spiritual exercise is much more important, for it promises a reward in both this life and the next.
The purpose of creating this Web Site was to attempt to share the Weight Loss and Spiritual Journey Blessings I have received with others. To help others be as fortunate as I have been.
To learn how I was inspired by a real American Hero to use modern technology to share my writings, I invite you to check out the About Me Page.
A few years ago, I was about 55 pounds heavier than I am now. To learn about my weight loss journey, I invite you to check out the following pages:
Then and Now
Losing Weight (I suggest that you print and read this page)
Most Wanted Foods
Red-FMD
Yellow-Caution
Green-Go
Typical Daily Eating
Before August 2002, I seldom attended Church and had never read a full page of the Bible. To learn about my journey as a Christian, I invite you to check out my Theology Pages and my Christians United Page.
I have worked outside year around since 1974. During this time I have had considerable experience dressing for cold weather. My Thermals Page provides what may be some helpful info for staying warm outdoors in the winter.
Over the years I have gathered teachings from the following sources:
White River Christian Church http://www.wrcc.org/
Tim Brock, WRCC Senior Pastor
Keith Comp, WRCC Associate Pastor
Michel Lankford, Home Group Leader
Les Feldick, Web Site
